We held a series of lectures by Prof. Jesse. J. Prinz (The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) for six days from the 14th to 23rd of July.

The first annual meeting of the Neuroethics Society was held in Washington DC on November 13 and 14 in 2008. Four UTCP researchers paticipated in the conference.

The 11th session of the Seminar “Secularization, Religion, State” was held on November 17th.

11月7日召开了研讨会“解读生／性与权力制度”。只要社会是以再生产为基础的，那么“生”作为“性”的问题，就与权力密不可分地联系在一起。此次研讨会围绕着“生／性”与权力的关系，关注由葆有特定的认同的国民组成的近代国家的问题，力图从不同的社会结构的构成上加以分析。

On November 7, UTCP held a workshop titled “Considering the System of Life/ Sexuality and Power”.

10月21日，UTCP理解伊斯兰讲座邀请华盛顿大学的克拉克•B•龙巴尔蒂氏主讲第七讲，题目为“Islamic Law, Human Rights and the State: The Case of Contemporary Egypt”。

On October 22, 2008 a seventh lecture on understanding Islam was held. In this time, Prof. Clark Lombardi (University of Washington) talked with the title of “Islamic Law, Human Rights and the State: The Case of Contemporary Egypt”.

New report on our activities: In Session 12 of the 3rd Seminar: "Reading Prinz's The Emotional Construction of Morals", we discussed the final chapter: "Moral Progress".

On October 20th, the ninth session of the seminar “Secularization, Religion, State” was held.
