On 24 July 2015, Mr Kyle Peters from he University of Chiago gave the presentation "Beyond Authorial Death: Nishida Kitarō and the Self-Determination of the Author" at UTCP.

We published the 2nd volume of UTCP-Uehiro Booklet, Philosophy of Disability & Coexistence: Body, Narrative, and Community, edited by Kohji Ishihara and Minae Inahara.

We published the first volume of UTCP-Uehiro Booklet, Papers from the 2012 University of Tokyo-University of Hawai'i Summer Residential Institute in Comparative Philosophy, co-edited by Roger T. AMES, Masato ISHIDA, Takahiro NAKAJIMA and Shinji KAJITANI.

Humanities and Institutions (Yuji Nishiyama (ed.), Miraisha, 2013) was published.

On February 22, 2013, an Asian Philosophy Forum workshop by Professor Yong Huang (Professor, Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, Chinese Philosophy) and Professor John Tucker (Professor, East Carolina University, Japanese Philosophy) was held. Professor Tsuyoshi ISHII (UTCP) presided the workshop and MOON Kyungnam (UTCP) spoke as a commentator.

On February 15, 2013, Professor Rein Raud (Professor, the University of Helsinki) gave a presentation entitled "Rethinking Dōgen" at Komaba Campus.

On December 19, 2012, Dr. George Wrisley (Assistant Professor, The University of North Georgia) gave a presentation entitled "The Buddha Still Rides a Bike: Wittgenstein, Dōgen, and the Entanglement of Language and Enlightenment" at Komaba Campus.

Ravishing scenery, fresh breeze and gentle rain we had experienced during the past 10 days perfected the summer institute together with conflicting philosophical ideas. Now we have come to the last two days of the second week. Here is the report of August 9th and 10th.

On June 29, 2012, Dr. Zhong Yijiang gave a presentation entitled "Freedom, Religion and the Making of the Modern Japanese State" at Komaba Campus.

A group of members from UTCP and the University of Tokyo attended the Tenth East-West Philosophers’ Conference (May 16-24, 2011) held by the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa and the East-West Center.

The 18th volume of UTCP Booklet, Contemporary Philosophy of Co-existence: Essays in Memory of KADOWAKI Shunsuke, was published. This is a collection of essays in memory of Prof. KADOWAKI Shunsuke who passed away in February 2010.

On August 25th and 26th, a group of members from UTCP and the University of Tokyo attended ICCT Workshop “Rethinking Enlightenment in Global and Historical Contexts,” which was held at Peking University in Beijing, China.
