Two men transport illegal refugees driving a van from Croatia, crossing Slovenia, to Italy. (In Slovenian, Serbian, Croatian and English, with English subtitles)

A group of young avant-garde artists in the 1920’s travels in the Balkans.

Introduction by Prof. Andrej Bekeš of the University of Ljubljana who will lead the post-screening discussion (in Japanese).

A film adaptation of the popular Slovenian novel portrays the adventures of a clever shepherd boy living in the mountains. (In Slovenian, with English subtitles)
Introduction by Prof. Jelisava Dobovšek-Sethna of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies who will lead the post-screening discussion (in English).


Admission is free. The film will be screened in DVD.

Presented by Department of Area Studies, the University of Tokyo, in collaboration with Slovenian Film Fund and Center for Slovene as a Second/Foreign Language, the University of Ljubljana; and supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Japan.
