Günther Pöltner
Born in Vienna in 1942. Having studied at University of Vienna, he became professor in 1981 after having worked as assistant. Professor emeritus since 2012, he continues his lecture and seminar. Specialized in wide range of domains from Aesthetics, Medieval Philosophy (especially Thomas Aquinas) , Phenomenology of Heidegger, phenomenological Psychoanalysis, to critique of biological epistemology. Fine arts enthusiast, he was also student at musical academy of Wien aspiring to become pianist untill he was 20 years old.
