Introduction:
Shota Iwasaki will examine Kojima Nobuo's literature.
Iwasaki's presentation will consist of three parts. He will begin by examining Eto Jun’s interpretation of Kojima Nobuo’s work (often upheld as the “standard” interpretation). In the second part of this presentation, Iwasaki will discuss Kojima’s literary method of “abstraction”, a method Eto’s interpretation is unable to grasp. In the final section, Iwasaki will present the stutter described in Kojima's short story “The School of Stuttering” as an example that illustrates his method of “abstraction”.
