トム・コーエン氏（ニューヨーク州立大学アルバニー校）は、ド・マンやデリダについての重要な論集（『物質的出来事：ポール・ド・マンと理論の死後の生』『ジャック・デリダと人文学：領域横断的読本』）を編集した研究者である。最近では、「批判的気候変動に関する研究所」の研究ディレクターを務めている。この研究所は、地球の生物環境の変化と批判的思考を架橋しつつ、今世紀の「生」の在り処をを多角的に検討するというユニークなプロジェクトである。
