Comparative Research on Sino-Japanese Women's History
Lecturer:Yang Li
Associate Professor, Shanghai International Studies University. She received her Bachelor's degree from Nanjing University and her Master's and Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo. Her research specializations include Sino-Japanese intellectual and cultural history, historiography, and women's and gender history.

Her forthcoming book is The Birth of Sexology in China: A Study of Discourses on Sexual Desire in the Late Qing and Early Republican Periods (scheduled for 2026). Her notable articles include "The Genesis of the Concept of 'Sex' in Modern China," "The scientific shift in the modern Chinese concept of sex—a discussion centered on the issue of women’s sexual desire," and "Writing the History of Mothers: The Post-WWII Japanese National History Movement and the Practice of Women's History.
