【Related Event】Online Symposium : How Can “Minamata Disease” Be Viewed Today? -- An Attempt at a Multidisciplinary Approach to “Minamata Disease”

This is an online symposium event organized by Nishihara Cultural Foundation (NCF) which is supporting our institute, the University of Tokyo Center for Philosophy. The event will be held in Japanese.

【Introduction of the event】
For this event, NCF invites two researchers, Prof. Hiroyuki Katayama (Department of Urban Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo), who specializes in water hygiene and environmental microbiology, and Dr. Akihiro Miyata (Assistant Professor, Comparative Literature and Culture, Department of Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, The University of Tokyo), who specializes in philosophy and phenomenology, to introduce the possibility of a multidisciplinary approach to “Minamata disease” from different perspectives and perspectives.
