Symposium "Asian Thoughts as World Philosophy"

As the new experiments on world literature and global history are challenged, philosophy is exposed under a question in regard to the "world" as well. In other words, the question is pointed toward Asian thoughts: whether Asian thoughts can contribute to building a "new universality" beyond the current framework of being regional thoughts or regional philosophy and to challenge the modern philosophy from the perspective of Asia. This symposium intends to discuss the possibility of Asian thoughts and to quest a way to open the "native theory/ or the theory of the particular" to "universality".
