His publications include Philosophy of Nothingness: An Essay on the Kyoto School (2001), Japanese Philosophy: A Sourcebook (with T. Kasulis and J. Maraldo 2011) and most recently Nothingness and Desire: An East-West Philosophical Antiphony (U of Hawai’I Press, 2013).
