From Prof. Morimoto

It is important to understand someone's background or some group's history when we consider his/her or the group's thoughts. To learn traditional Islamic knowledge, I shall present lifestyles of guardians of such knowledge and their environments. Concretely I shall talk about Ibn Funduq who lived in the 12th century Eastern Iran.
